Chicken with Onion and Pumpkin

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast Meat(sliced) 150g
  • Japanese Pumpkin(cut into pieces) 450g
  • Onion 1/2 pc
  • Garlic(peeled,sliced ) 2 cloves
  • Hot Water 2 cups
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • MARINADE
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Light Soy Sauce 1/2 tsp
  • Cornstarch 1 tsp
  • Water 2 tbsp
  • SEASONING
  • Salt 1/2 tsp

Method

Step 1

Rinse and slice chicken breast meat. Combine with marinade ingredients and let stand for 1/2 hour.

Step 2

Remove pumpkin seeds. Rinse and cut pumpkin with skin into pieces. Peel onion rinse and cut into pieces.

Step 3

Heat 2 tbsp oil in the wok. Stir fry garlic until fragrant. Add chicken meat and stir-fry until even. Set aside.

Step 4

Add onion to the same wok. Stir-fry until fragrant. Add pumpkin and 2 cups of hot water. Cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes. Add chicken meat and salt. Stir until even. Cook for a short while. Serve.
