Black Tea Muffin

Tips: Serve the muffin whipped cream or fruit jam on the side.


  • Hot Cake Mix 200g
  • Butter 50g
  • Milk 80cc
  • Black Tea 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 40g
  • Plain Flour some
  • Ground Cinnamon 0.5 tbsp
  • Cooking Papper


Step 1

Dice the butter into 1 cm cube. In a mixing bowl, put in diced butter hot cake mix and ground cinnamon. Stir the dry ingredients and break the butter into tiny bits with a fork until well incorporated.

Step 2

Add black tea to the mixture in (1). Slowly stir in milk. Mix into dough. Wrap the dough in cling film. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Sprinkle some flour on a chopping board or countertop. Roll the dough out with a rolling pin into an even thickness(about 2 cm thick). Cut out the dough with a round cutter.

Step 4

Transfer the cut-out dough into a baking tray lined with cooking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 C, bake for 20 minutes. Serve.
