Five-Spiced Stew Pork

Ingredients

  • Belly Pork 2 lb
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Leek(chopped) 1 stalk
  • Oil 2 tbsps
  • SEASONING
  • Rice Wine 1 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 tbsps
  • Star Anises 3 pcs
  • Broth 4 cups

Method

Step 1

Blanch the whole belly pork in boiling water to remove the blood. Then, remove to clean water and cook for 20 minutes until done. Remove and cool. Then, cut into large square pieces.

Step 2

Heat 2 tbsps oil in the wok to stir-fry garlic cloves until fragrant. Return pork and add seasonings to taste. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes until the pork is tender and soft. Remove to serving plate and sprinkle leek. Serve.
