Deep Fried Beancurd(Tofu) with Chili and Salt

The beancurd(tofu) is crispy and simply. 

Ingredients

  • Soft beancurd 300g
  • Red Chili(finely chopped) 1 pc
  • Oil 1 lit
  • MARINADE
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1/3 tsp
  • Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Five-spices Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ground Black Pepper 1 tsp
  • BATTER
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Baking Powder 1 tsp
  • Corbflour 3.5 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Oil 2 tsp

Method

Step 1

Mix batter and 1 cup water. After 30 minutes, add in 2 tbsp oil. Stir and set aside.

Step 2

Cut the beancurd(tofu) into cubes. Absorb the water. Stir the marinades evenly.

Step 3

Red chili mix in batter. Beancurd(tofu) dip the batter. Deep fried beancurd(tofu) until golden brown. Serve.
