Baked Lasagne with Caramilized Onion, Tuna and Creamy Corn Sauce

  • Lasagne 10 sheets
  • Onion(shredded) 2 pcs
  • Tuna in Water(drained) 185g
  • Cream Style Corn(418g) 1 can
  • Green Bell Pepper(chopped) 1 cup
  • Red Bell Pepper(chopped) 1 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese(grated) 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Chicken Broth 1 cup
  • Plain Flour 4 tbsps
  • Salt some
  • White Pepper Powder some
  • Water 2 litres
  • Salt(for Lasagne) 4 tsps
  • Oil 4 tbsp


Step 1

In a large pot, heat 2 litres of water with 4 tsp of salt over high heat until boiling. Cook the lasagne for 4 minutes until soft, drain well and cover with a damp cloth.

Step 2

In a non-stick pan, mix the oil and flour, cook over medium heat and stir until creamy and foamy. Stir in the corn, milk and broth until blended. Season with salt and white pepper powder to taste and allow to cool.

Step 3

Saute the onion with 1 tbsp of oil until lightly browned, season with salt and white pepper powder to taste and set aside.

Step 4

In a heatproof deep dish, grease the bottom and pour in 1/5 of the tuna cream and onion, sprinkle with the cheese then cover with 2 cheets until done, extra of cheese may be sprinkled on top.

Step 5

Preheat the over to 170C, cover the prepared lasagne with foil and bake for 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for further 10 minutes until the cheese get browned, allow to stand for 10 minutes. Serve.
