Baked Eggplant with Meat Sauce and Cheese

The dish have a flavor and fragrance.

Tips: 1. It use Non-Stick range pan for fry beef.
2. After oil spread the eggplant, It can bake.


  • Beef(minced) 500g
  • Onion(diced) 1 pc
  • Garlic(minced) 2 clove
  • Tomato Paste 3 tbsps
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Tomato(crushed) 1 can
  • Thyme 1 tsp
  • Salt some
  • White Pepper Powder some
  • Eggplant(stem removed cut lengtheise) 3 pc
  • Oil 4 tbsps
  • Cheese 4 slices


Step 1

For the meat sauce: Brown the meat in a very hot non-stick pan with no oil. About 8 minutes. Set aside and strain the excess fat.

Step 2

In a large pan, heat up the oil over medium heat. Saure the onion until golden brown, at the garlic. Cook for another 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste, mixed well, and then add the beef and thyme. cook for 2 minutes and then add the crush tomato.

Step 3

Bring to a boil and turn the heat down to simmer for about 30 minutes. Brush the eggplant with oil. Pan-fry or grill each side for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 200 C for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Arrange the grilled eggplant skin side down on a deep baking dish. Spoon the meat sauce over the top. Layer the cheese on the meat sauce.

Step 6

Bake in a 200 C oven for 25 minutes until the eggplant is soft and cheese has melted. Serve with hot.
